Victor Karkar is Cofounder and CEO of Scrible, an ed tech innovator tackling the massive research and writing skills crisis among America’s students. He started Scrible to address his own frustrations working with online information in school. Victor has presented on the challenges and best practices of the research and writing process at events hosted by the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), the Illinois Association of Teachers of English (IATE), the New Jersey Association of School Librarians (NJASL), The League for Innovation in the Community College and others.
Victor has led and grown Scrible from concept to the most advanced platform of its kind. Scrible is a modern online research and writing platform used by thousands of educators and their students. It is supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Department of Education (ED) and partnered with Google, Microsoft, the State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) and others. It’s received recognition at ISTE, SXSW EDU, FETC and elsewhere.
Prior to Scrible, Victor’s background in innovation spanned the Internet and biotech worlds in project management, product management and business development. Victor holds a Bachelors in Biology from Brown University and a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
