Tia Fuentes is currently a second grade teacher in Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Elementary Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master's Degree in Leadership with a focus on Leader Development from Walden University. She is a trailblazer in her district for educational technology, innovation, educator fellowships and a leader of exploration and development programs. Tia has been recognized for her style of teaching which focuses on personalized learning,, for providing outstanding accommodations to students, for organizing and delivering professional development at Educational Technology conferences, and for her support of the Culture and Climate Committee at her school. As the District Teacher of the Year she continues to spread her knowledge through collaboration, conferences and continuous education with other educators near and far.
