I’m a Digital Learning Coach and Cybersecurity/IT teacher at Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I’ve assumed this role since 2016 and have extensive experience leading our 1:1 device program. I’ve managed our help desk, and have experience in repair and deployment of equipment, as well as digital integration with a variety of technologies. During my tenure at Pine Creek, I’ve managed thousands of iPads using Mobile Device Management tools and was on the team that piloted the current Learning Management System for our district. Until recently, I was responsible for coordinating all our IT on site, in addition to teaching Computer Science courses. My DLC role currently supports software and digital integration throughout the building. As a CS teacher, I have helped stand up our certification program, and produced a variety of new opportunities for our students. I started our CyberPatriot and eSports programs, serving as coach. I was selected to pilot AP Cybersecurity for the College Board in 2024-2025 and brought drone technologies to our school. Finally, I was selected as a participant in the Colorado School of MINES Additive Manufacturing program for 2024-2025 after two years of implementing 3D printing at our school.
