Dr. Riya Nathrani is a visionary instructional technology coach, inspiring K-12 educators across her school district in the Northern Mariana Islands by delivering transformative professional development on technology tools and engagement strategies. Nathrani holds a doctorate of education degree in digital transformation and is passionate about using technology and research-based practices to enhance learning and create engaging experiences for students that meet their diverse needs. A product of the school district herself, Nathrani aims to ensure all students have access to high-quality educational experiences. Previously a middle school computer literacy and robotics teacher, she leverages technology to deliver personalized instruction, bridge gaps, and provide students with opportunities for exploration, inquiry, and creativity. In 2022, she represented her islands at The White House as CNMI State Teacher of the Year. She currently spearheads her district's cybersecurity awareness initiative and works with teachers, students, and parents to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the digital landscape safely and responsibly.
