Phil Hintz currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Niles Township School District 219, just outside of Chicago, Illinois. In June of 2015, Phil was the recipient of ISTE’s Outstanding Leader of Year Award, in Philadelphia. In 2016, this advisor made the list of the National School Boards Association’s top “20 to Watch” in educational technology for 2016. In 2015, Phil collaborated as the CTO with the team at his school district to be inducted into the League of Innovative Schools by the Federal, Bi-Partisan organization Digital Promise. In 2017, Phil helped his school district to earn the coveted ISTE Distinguished District Award. Most recently, this advisor was awarded the Withrow CTO of the Year by the Consortium of School Networking (CoSN). In June of 2022, Phil was the winner of Tech & Learning Magazine’s Innovative Leader Award for Best Implementation of Data Privacy. He is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree in Educational Administration and is writing his dissertation on the impact of the use AR and VR with students with intellectual disabilities in attaining life and occupational skills. Phil’s research was featured in Tech & Learning Magazine highlighting the power of the MetaVerse for inclusive education.
