Patricia "Patt"Dennis has been immersed in education and innovative learning since 2018. Her journey began as an extracurricular instructor at the MLC STEM Center, where she offered STEAM programs to K-8 students with a focus on chess. Transitioning to AmeriCorps, she supported reading initiatives in East Orange and Patterson for three terms, enhancing ELA classrooms for second—and third-graders.
Venturing into Educational Technology, Patt coordinated the WELL Grant Program at The New Brunswick Theology Seminary. She later served as a School Library Media Specialist in Newark, NJ, before taking up roles as District Technology Director, Technology teacher, and Instructional Technology Specialist in an East Orange charter middle school.
Patt, a self-proclaimed philomath, holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Studio Art, a Master of Arts in English Writing Studies, and a second Master of Arts in Educational Technology. Her academic pursuits include focusing on gamified writing activities and integrating technology into education. She is pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Technology Leadership and continues to seek growth and learning opportunities in her field.
