Nneka McGee is an educator, researcher, and advocate dedicated to providing access and opportunities for students to explore STEM. She began her educational career as a middle school mathematics teacher and held positions as a District Gifted and Talented Coordinator, Director of Gifted and Talented and Advanced Academics, and Executive Director for Learning and Innovation. As a Chief Academic Officer, Nneka created the Valley Artificial Intelligence Summit for educators and spearheaded the Greyhounds Astra Project, an initiative designed to transform teachers into leaders in the AI in education movement. She led the launch of multiple innovative school programs that stabilized enrollment, increased attendance, and improved student outcomes, including a virtual academy, elementary choice schools, and several advanced academics magnet schools. She is a sought-after speaker on artificial intelligence in education and has shared her work as a panelist or presenter at national, state, regional, and local conferences. Nneka is a proud member of HAKing Innovation’s Board of Directors, a non-profit, social impact organization on a mission to create a community of technical talent by exposing students to STEM experiences.
