Dr. Nancy Sulla is the author of six books focusing on putting students in charge of their own learning -- whether in a physical school or learning remotely -- and the creator of the Learner-Active, Technology-Infused Classroom. She was drawn to technology early in her teaching career and spent some time in the computer science world as a programmer/analyst before returning to schools to meld technology with classroom learning. She leads her consulting firm, IDE Corp., in assisting schools in designing classrooms for the Alpha Generation that prioritize academic success and emotional, social, and behavioral health while honoring their significant digital savvy. She holds a BA in education, and MA in computer science, and an EdD in educational administration. Nancy was named among the Top 30 Inspirational Leaders in Business. She was featured in a NY Times article on redefining the virtual workspace subtitled, "The Boss Wants to See You in Her Castle;"and her company was named by Inc magazine as one of the best places to work. Always innovating, Nancy has developed classroom models for the AI-informed classroom, promoting mental health, putting students in charge of their own learning, and for New York City's first virtual high school.
