Monica Roach, a graduate of Old Dominion University, holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master’s in Special Education. With 19 years of teaching experience, she currently serves as the Instructional Technology Specialist at Birdneck Elementary School in Virginia Beach. Monica's dedication to education has earned her numerous accolades, including being "Tagged by the Superintendent"for her contributions and twice recognized as a Distinguished Teacher by Virginia Beach. Recently, she was honored as Teacher of the Year for 2025-2026 at Birdneck Elementary. As a keynote speaker, Monica shares her experience and insight to inspire fellow educators. Beyond work, Monica enjoys exploring outdoors, reading, painting, and crochet. She values time with her husband, Tim, and daughters, Cora and Maeve, fostering family bonds and an active lifestyle.
