Melissa Adkins is an Instructional Technologist for Lamar County School District in Mississippi. Along with being a veteran teacher of 25+ years with the last 17 years exclusively in Educational Technology, Melissa is a Google for Education Certified Innovator and Trainer; a Book Creator Ambassador; a BreakoutEDU Ambassador; a Microsoft Flipsider; and a Wakelet Ambassador. She is also a Code.org CSF Facilitator currently serving on Mississippi’s Elementary Computer Science Taskforce. She is a Certified Educator with Kami, a Quizizz Game Changer, an EdPuzzle Coach and Trainer, a GoGuardian Coach, a Promethean Educator, and more. Melissa is committed to using educational technology to empower student achievement, especially in the elementary grade levels. She enjoys connecting with other educators by presenting and sharing her expertise online and at conferences. Melissa is a spirited advocate of educational technologies that promote inclusive and authentic learning experiences for teachers and students.
