Hi! I'm Maria, an educator living in Chicago and working in the northern suburbs at Deerfield Public School District 109. My journey in EdTech began in 2001 as the Tech Coordinator at one of the middle schools in the district and my role has continued to evolve throughout the years. I am currently the DPS109 K-8 Innovation Curriculum Specialist helping introduce, integrate, and support innovative learning practices throughout the district. I received my M.Ed in Curriculum & Technology to deepen my understanding of how technology can enhance learning, connecting people and the world. I continuously have my eyes open in the world of tech and innovation including the world of web3 and the next generation of the internet. I try to focus on the positive & believe everyone has the ability in them to be great in their own way.
