Libbi Nelson serves as the Director of Resource & Service Programs for California IT in Education. Libbi has worked in K-12 educational IT for over 10 years. Beginning her career as a Technology Support Specialist, working to provide solutions to district staff and students ranging from networking, VOIP and device management to technology training in the classroom and developing district student privacy guidelines and delivering contracting support. Libbi has become a state and national resource to LEAs and Vendors, who seek to understand Student Privacy. Libbi began her involvement with CITE as a member before becoming CITE’s first Resource Program Specialist, and now she leads a team of 7 as the Director of Resource and Service Programs bringing Student Data Privacy support. Additionally, Libbi and her team develop and manage partnerships for licensing programs for CA LEAs generating unique avenues for the LEAs to equitably access better pricing and support for their most needed resources such as Microsoft and Google.
