Leticia Citizen, a member of Our Voice Alliance (OVA) Cohort 3, is a Samsung Education Coach passionate about technology-enhanced teaching, primary sources, and global connections to help augment student learning, and modernize traditional classroom methods. Her 23 educator years experience includes teaching kindergarten, first, and fifth grade in self-contained classrooms. While a tech coach, she taught digital citizenship to each TK-5 class. Leticia dedicates her life to social justice, teaching through a JEDIB lens, and mentoring teachers to share their voices. Collaborating with PLN members, Equity In Action, CA was born, a group looking at who’s missing in EdSpaces, identifying the lack of diversity, and tracking the data behind why. In addition, Leticia, with Dr. Ntoya and Cicely, created Tech.Teach.Grow, LLC. Providing high-quality PD, Tech.Teach.Grow, LLC uses tech as a tool in tandem with proven research-based teaching and learning methodology. In addition, Leticia is an ambassador and certified trainer for various digital tools including Nearpod, Wakelet, and Common Sense Education. For the 2022-2023 school year, she was awarded the Common Sense Education Ambassador of the Year award. She’s a Google Certified Trainer and shares her expertise with educators at many national and global conferences, in-person and online.
