Lara Brooksbank is a computer science educator from Charleston, South Carolina. Lara currently teaches middle school computer science at Porter-Gaud School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from the College of Charleston, where her research interests included computer science education and gender in technology. She is currently working towards her Masters of Education in Learning Design and Technologies from the University of South Carolina. Lara is passionate about finding engaging ways to deliver computer science instruction and to incorporate technology into core curriculum. Her goal is to help students become 21st century thinkers and problem solvers both in and out of the classroom.
