Keri Richburg is a Mathematics Educator who works with preservice and Inservice teachers through the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI) at the Alabama State Department of Education. Formerly, she served as a Lecturer and Secondary Programs Coordinator for the College of Education at Troy University in Troy, Alabama. While there, she taught undergraduate math methods courses for Elementary and Secondary Mathematics Education students. She has also worked on the Alabama Course of Study Committee: Mathematics and for ETS with Praxis standard-setting. Keri has served mathematics education in many capacities, from classroom teacher to coach to teacher educator. Her certifications include an Alabama Class B Secondary Education Teaching Certificate and National Institute of STEM Education STEM Certification. She has received various honors and awards, including the 2021 Susan Gay Travel Scholarship for AMTE. She is an active member of NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics), NSCM (National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics), AMTE (Association of Math Teacher Educators), and ACTM (Alabama Council of Teachers of Mathematics). Keri is also pursuing a doctoral degree in secondary mathematics education at Auburn University.
