Dr. Cooper has been the lead learner at Mason City Schools since 2018. His community-sourced leadership style includes regular two-way communication with staff, students, families and members of the public. During his superintendency, 69% of the school district's voters approved a 9.95 mil operating levy, and his advocacy efforts for data-driven quarantine rules allowed more Ohio schools to remain open, and healthy children to stay in school during the pandemic. Dr. Cooper earned his Bachelor's of Education with a concentration in Science from Ball State University, his Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, and his Doctorate of Education from Miami University.
