Dr. Horton currently serves as the superintendent of Southwest Metro District 288. He has nearly 25 years of experience in education as an assistant superintendent, director of special education, principal, and classroom teacher. He is passionate about working on education's toughest and most complex issues with a focus on schools and communities that face these challenges. His general education and special education work in leadership and the classroom has shaped Dr. Horton's educational philosophy and truly emphasized the importance of meeting the variety of needs each learner has in our country. He brings energy and passion that ignite innovation and success for students and the communities that he serves.
