Dr. Jeannette Tejeda possesses a profound passion for teaching and learning, and for the integration of innovative technology tools in education. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Tejeda has significantly impacted education, serving in Miami-Dade County Public Schools' Office of Instructional Technology and as an adjunct professor at the American College of Education. She earned her Master's in Elementary and Bilingual Education from Bank Street College of Education and her Education Doctorate from the University of Central Florida. Her career has been marked by her dedication to working with academically and culturally diverse students, and her expertise in dual language programs, ESOL, inclusive special education, and instructional technology. In her current role at M-DCPS, Dr. Tejeda leads the AI Institute initiative, driving the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) to transform educational practices. This initiative is at the forefront of equipping teachers and administrators with the skills for effective and ethical use of AI in education, thereby enhancing the district's overall capacity in instructional technology. Additionally, she has presented on instructional technology and AI at notable conferences, including the IDEA Expo and the 2024 FETC conference, reflecting her commitment to enhancing educational practices through technology.
