Hector Valles is an EdTech Specialist at Central Region Educational Cooperative (CREC), with over 10 years of expertise in educational technology, instructional design, and professional development. At CREC, Hector has been a driving force behind initiatives that enable teachers to integrate technology effectively, particularly in rural and underserved communities across New Mexico. Hector co-created the EdTech Boost NM program, an initiative that expanded access to micro-credentialing for over 300 educators across New Mexico, resulting in thousands of hours of professional growth and collaboration. His work focuses on equipping educators with the skills and confidence to create engaging, student-centered classrooms and foster equitable learning experiences. At FETC, Hector will join Edge•U Badges and his EdTech NM (NMRECA) colleagues to discuss the successful partnership that fueled EdTech Boost NM. He will share insights on how sustained educator support and strategic collaboration can empower teachers to leverage technology effectively, ultimately transforming teaching practices and enhancing student outcomes.
