Dave Kush has over 20 years of experience in education and data science, significantly contributing to organizations by fostering analytics, delivering strategic information, evaluating programs, creating custom reporting solutions, and reducing costs.
His journey began with directing survey-based and econometric research projects and conducting statistical analyses. Dave holds a Master’s degree Political Science and an MBA. Leveraging this expertise, Dave taught economics, psychology, and sociology, earning recognition as one of Illinois' top 30 educators in 2012. He has since presented and conducted trainings at national events.
As a school assessment leader, Dave developed statistical methods for fair teacher evaluation under PERA (Performance Evaluation Reform Act), using grassroots leadership techniques to empower educators. In 2013, he co-founded Polaris Education to help schools harness data to drive student success.
Dave specializes in assessment and grading practices, blended learning, and student engagement through gamification, helping schools implement effective strategies to maximize student outcomes. He has also been instrumental in developing and delivering professional development programs for educators, focusing on integrating technology in the classroom and data-driven instruction.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dave is a devoted family man with three sons. He enjoys fitness, traveling, hiking, rock climbing, and real estate investing.
