Cynthia is the Elementary Science/Math/STEM Specialist in the Canyons School District. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching and endorsements in English Language Learners (ELL), STEM, and Educational Technology. Before her current position, she taught 6th grade mathematics, science, and robotics classes in middle and elementary school, and was an instructional coach at a Canyons District high school. Cynthia's expertise includes vertical alignment, content and technology integration, curriculum development, instructional coaching, after-school STEM programs, makerspaces, STEM Nights, and bridging STEM classes with classroom instruction. She is dedicated to teaching students to view the world around them with passion, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Cynthia is also currently co-teaching CSD's Elementary STEM Endorsement classes through Southern Utah University (SUU).
