Christina Kim is Assistant Head of the School for Strategic Initiatives at Maryvale Preparatory School in Baltimore, MD. Previously she was the Director of Wellness & Support at Gilman School, an independent school in Baltimore, MD. In addition to counseling students and families, she designs and implements a variety of wellness initiatives to improve the community, climate, and well-being of students, faculty, and staff. She brings the perspective of a classroom teacher, learning specialist, clinical social worker, and program director in working with children and families for 21 years. Christina has an undergraduate degree from New York University, a Master of Education and Master of Social Work through a dual degree program at Bank Street College of Education and Columbia University School of Social Work, and a Master of Education for School Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University. She believes in supporting the whole child, the academic as well as the social-emotional, and utilizing data to inform strategic programming to improve well-being.
