Dr. Chris Smallen began his career as a Biology and Physical Science teacher at Lenoir City High School in Lenoir City, Tennessee in 1998. Since that time he has served as an instructional technology coach and assistant principal. Currently, as the Chief Technology Officer, he has the opportunity to work with all educators in Lenoir City to imagine the possibilities that can impact teaching and learning, During his tenure as Chief Technology Officer the district has implemented a one-to-one digital conversion in grades 1-12 as well as a virtual instruction program allowing students to take courses completely onlin
