Chris Combass has spent 28 years in education. He is currently serving as the Director of Teaching and Learning for the Hamilton County School District. Prior to joining the District Office, Chris spent seventeen years as a social studies instructor and also served as an instructional coach. He was named the 2018 Hamilton County School District Teacher of the Year and is a proud member of the Florida Teacher Lead Network. An anonymous quote that resonated with Chris a few years ago stated that “Data is not the final destination, but it is part of the journey.” Working in a Title 1 school district, Chris realizes that being data-informed is only the first step to improving student success and understands the importance of data-driven instruction on student achievement.
