Dr. Carole Polney has more than 30 years in education, most of which have been as a technology instructional leader. She has been able to implement and lead districts she has worked for into visionary projects, such as being the first district on Long Island to implement Google and rolled out a K through 12 one-to-one student and teacher Chromebook initiative in less than six months.
Additionally, for the past four years, Dr. Polney has been an adjunct professor at Long Island University where she teaches in the Masters in Educational Technology program. As a Past President, former Conference Chairperson, and Board Member of the Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technologies (ASSET), Dr. Polney has had her finger on the pulse of technology in education since the Internet was introduced in schools, starting when she was a high school English teacher.
Having previously presented at LITES, ASSET, FETC, SITE, Dr. Polney enjoys learning as much as sharing her knowledge with educational colleagues from across the globe. Her passion for educational technology and knowing that is a valuable tool for teachers and students has been her focus throughout her career.
