Dr. Bethann Cole is an accomplished educator with a robust academic background and extensive experience in instructional technology. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education and a Master of Arts in Education with a specialization in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina. Building upon her foundation, Dr. Cole pursued her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Instructional Technology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
With a dedication to academic excellence, Dr. Cole holds North Carolina Teaching Certification in Middle Grades Science, Language Arts, and Science, supplemented by an additional certification in Instructional Technology. Since 1999, she has been an integral part of the faculty at East Carolina University, serving as an Associate Teaching Professor in the Instructional Technology Program within the College of Education.
Dr. Cole is widely recognized for her expertise, holding certifications as an ISTE Certified Educator, Certified Apple Learning Coach, and a NearPod PioNear. Her research interests lie in exploring and promoting technology integration best practices within K-12 educational environments. She focuses on supporting pre-service and in-service educators, instructional technology coaches, and school administrators in leveraging technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
