April Aulmer is the Director of Elementary Programs and Gifted Education in York School District 1 in York, South Carolina. Prior to her current role, she served as a District Instructional Facilitator (York, SC), Principal at Queen City STEM School (Charlotte, North Carolina), a middle school assistant principal in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and a middle school math teacher for nearly 15 years. As a classroom teacher she was twice named Teacher of the Year. Ms. Aulmer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina- Aiken and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University. She holds Elementary and Secondary Principal certification in South Carolina and Elementary Principal Certification in North Carolina.
