He has a proven track record of transforming underperforming educational environments. Dr. Hamlet has excelled in roles from case manager to district administrator, earning five Principal of the Year awards and two finalist nominations for the Green Garner "Urban Superintendent of the Year"Award. As superintendent of Pittsburgh Public Schools, he implemented strategies that significantly improved student achievement and reduced suspension rates. Dr. Hamlet holds degrees from the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University and has completed programs at Harvard and Howard Universities. His career began in professional sports, playing in the NFL, CFL, and AFL, and winning three national championships with the Miami Hurricanes.
