This is Andrew Underwood’s 29th year in education, 20th year as Superintendent of Schools (last 15 spent at Belton School District #124). The Belton #124 School District is a South Kansas City, Missouri Suburb. The district has worked on implementing next generation learning and academies at the 4,500-student school district. Belton also has a magnet STEAM Elementary, is a 1:1 school system and has focused on retaining high quality staff through strong compensation, focused professional development, good working conditions and looking at ways to boost morale/recognition through communications.
