Adrianna Swearingen's dedication to education spans nearly a decade. As a 5th grade teacher at Northside Elementary in Bay County, her philosophy centers on introducing innovative methods, fostering student leadership, and spearheading initiatives improving academic performance.
Adrianna holds a Bachelor's from Florida State University and a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in the field.
Her impact was profound when transitioning to a media specialist in 2021, playing a key role in drastically improving the school's overall grade and student learning gains. As an educator, Adrianna focused on developing the next generation of leaders through student-run broadcasts and pioneering the Accelerated Reader Program.
Adrianna's exceptional contributions led to her selection as the 2024 Florida Teacher of the Year from nearly 185,000 public school teachers. She served as the Christa McAuliffe Ambassador, promoting Florida educators.
Driven by her military childhood exposing her to diverse cultures, Adrianna continues positively impacting students' lives professionally and personally. She is a proud mother of two boys and wife of a former Marine, now firefighter.
