Data-sharing agreements are a key component of protecting student information and privacy. Recognizing the need for more efficiency and better understanding, the 1EdTech community worked together to create a new resource to simplify data-sharing agreements, protect student privacy, and minimize the need for time-consuming redlining of individual contracts. The Open Data Privacy and Security Agreement (DPSA) Template creates a more efficient agreement that works for suppliers across state lines, ensures student data security to save time on legal processes, and makes it easier to do business with states, schools and universities with a standardized agreement.
