Promoting Equity and Personalization with Artificial Intelligence and Personal Interest Projects

January 17, 2025
EXPO HALL POSTERS AREA: BOOTH 2395
School Leaders
This engaging session will explore the transformative power of Personal Interest Projects (PIPs) in promoting personalized learning and advancing equity in education with the use of artificial intelligence. In this session, we will delve into how PIPs offer students the opportunity to take ownership of their learning journey and connect their interests to their development of critical life skills while also harnessing the power of AI. This presentation will highlight how PIPs can be used to teach students about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in ethical and meaningful ways. AI is a crucial skill for the future, and this approach ensures that students of all backgrounds have access to relevant and empowering educational experiences. At a time when AI is turning traditional education upside down, PIPs can actually leverage AI to elevate the rigor and depth of projects. These projects don’t just promote best practices, they will become essential to keep students engaged and to teach in this new age of AI.
