Classroom Leaders
Podcasts are popular and powerful classroom projects because of the engagement factor and the strong connections they have to important literacy skills, but they are often relegated to upper elementary or secondary classrooms. However, podcasting with younger learners can be done successfully, and this presentation will tell you everything you need to know to do it with your own students. Learn how one teacher with no prior experience was able to create the conditions necessary that led to a podcast that is available to listeners worldwide while building skills in literacy, inquiry, and communication. If you have never created a podcast or aren't sure if your youngest learners could do so successfully, then this session is for YOU!
