Do Kindergarteners know the word ‘algorithm?’ Absolutely! Join us from Cold Spring Harbor CSD in New York, as we guide you through a comprehensive approach to introducing coding and robotics in K-6 settings. Our structured scope and sequence begins with analog algorithms and directional robotics, gradually advancing to block-based coding using Scratch and intermediate robots. Finally, students delve into text-based programming with Python and explore the fascinating world of LEGO Robotics. By fostering computational thinking early, our session demonstrates applications and equips educators and administrators with the necessary tools to establish a coding and robotics curriculum in their elementary schools. Emphasizing problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity, our K-6 scope and sequence empowers students to thrive in a technology-driven world.
