EXPO HALL LEADERSHIP ROUND TABLES: BOOTH 3386
Classroom Leaders
In a world where differences divide, building an environment of inclusivity and emotional safety is imperative. This is what happened when a group of educators came together and realized the power that came from a robot (toy). Through robotics play, and friendship, a group of students helped bring out the “voice” in their buddies with autism. Join us for an enlightening presentation on "Robots for Everyone"(RFE), a groundbreaking program designed to democratize access to computer science education while fostering inclusivity and language development. Our session will explore how coding and robotics serve as powerful tools to bridge learning and engagement for students with special needs. Through RFE, we empower mentor students in 4th and 5th grade to share their knowledge of technology while cultivating empathy and compassion for their peers. By participating in our buddy/mentor program, students with autism not only enhance their expressive language skills but also foster meaningful connections with their typically developing peers. Join us for an adventure beyond infinity as we explore how "Robots for Everyone"transforms classrooms into vibrant, inclusive communities where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and soar to infinity and beyond!
