Graphic Design for Educators: Easy Ways to Create Engaging, Accessible Digital Content
January 16, 2025
SOUTH 330B
Classroom Leaders
We all experience design everyday, and students, teachers, and administrators are creating original digital content now more than ever. Good visual design can communicate powerful messages, but it is often overlooked in educator and leadership professional learning. This workshop will empower attendees to become strong visual content designers and create their own engaging content. We will take a deep dive into the elements of design and visual hierarchy — like color, layout, and type — and engage in activities to learn strategies for designing with accessibility and their audiences in mind. We will explore design platforms and AI design tools, and how to use them as your personal design assistant! Attendees will walk away with design skills to put into practice right away, and resources to integrate design into their current practices and start teaching design skills to students of all ages!
