The gender gap in computer science is rapidly becoming a broader diversity gap in AI. A recent Deloitte report shows that women still account for only 22% of all AI and computer science PhD programs in North America. To get AI right as a society, we need diverse perspectives in the room, and this begins with equitable educational opportunities for all of our students. This panel discussion features four educational leaders dedicated to inspiring and equipping the next generation of tech leaders from diverse backgrounds. They will share their experiences serving diverse student populations and provide concrete strategies to ensure more equitable computer science and AI education from the early years onward.
