Are you struggling with creating school or classroom websites and resources that are not just functional, but also enjoyable and easy to access? Are you noticing that resources aren’t being used as much as they could be used? In this hands-on workshop, we’ll dive into the principles of user experience and user interface design (UX/UI) to create user-friendly and accessible school and classroom websites and resources. Through a mix of hands-on exercises and collaborative activities, you'll learn to identify user needs, brainstorm and prototype ideas, conduct usability testing, and apply best practices in user interface design. We'll also discuss how to make your digital resources inclusive so that all students and faculty, including those with disabilities, can easily access and benefit from your websites and tools. Additionally, we'll dive into using Google tools for project management, get you started with Figma for prototyping, and guide you in how to gain certification in UX design through Grow with Google. By the end of this workshop, you'll have the knowledge and skills to enhance your digital resources, creating a more engaging and supportive learning environment for everyone.
