Earning Credit

VerAttend is FETC’s official program attendance certification system. This system will allow you to track your attendance for Keynotes, Concurrent Sessions and Ticketed Workshops.

FETC representatives will be available at each session to scan your badge as you enter if you wish to track your attendance. Following the conference you will receive an email with verification of your participation. It will then be your responsibility to present this verification to your professional development director for continuing education credits. It is also up to individual organizations as to how they will credit your participation.

If you have questions regarding earning credit for renewal of your Florida teaching certificate by attending FETC, please contact your school or district’s staff development director.

  • Florida Public School Educators: Contact your district’s professional development department to see how FETC can support your Individual Professional Development Plan. Follow your district’s procedures for earning credit.
  • Florida Private School Educators: Contact your school’s staff development director or the schools’ umbrella organization to see if it has a state-approved master in-service plan and how FETC can support your Individual Professional Development Plan. If there is a plan in place, follow the organization’s procedures for earning credit. If the organization does not have a plan, points cannot be awarded for certificate renewal.
  • Out-of-State Educators: Contact your state or district professional development representative before the conference to determine what you must do for FETC to qualify for continuing education credit.
